2026-2028 CALL FOR EMPLOYEE DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS

passionate about local business? us too!

The Employee Director is a unique and important role elected by staff to provide the ‘on the floor’ insight into the Co-op’s long-term strategy and governance.

The ED provides essential contributions to the Board through:

  • Strategic influence: Full voting power on the Board
  • Operational Insight: Bridging the gap between daily work and big-picture goals
  • Professional Development: Build skills in governance and financial oversight

While the ED is elected by staff, it is important to note that this is a governance focused role with duties to the full Co-op membership.

our board of directors

Our board is seven member-elected directors and one employee-elected director, and together they guide the long-term direction of our business on behalf of our member-owners.

Joining our board means working with a group of people committed to strengthening our local community and creating a more resilient local food system.
